40th Anniversary

On Friday, December 6, 2019, the Wendell Phillips Hall of Fame celebrated its 40th Anniversary.  For 40 years, the Hall of Fame Committee has inducted outstanding alumni who have made outstanding contributions in their chosen professions into the Wendell Phillips Hall of Fame.  The pictorial Hall of Fame on the walls of the school serves as a daily reminder to students and staff to strive for excellence. In addition to providing positive alumni role models, the Hall of Fame Committee has for 40 years provided scholarships and mentoring for students pursuing higher education.  The celebration included a Banquet for Hall of Famers (by invitation only), a Basketball Game played by alumni from the 1970’s and 80’s, and a Sock Hop with a Steppers Contest and a “Nick & Angels” concession stand.
