2017 Hall of Fame Scholarship Recipient
Inducted in the Wendell Phillips Hall of Fame - October 18, 2024
Malcolm Fox, born on February 17, 1999, in Chicago, Illinois, to Robert and Frances Fox, is a business professional and serial entrepreneur. He graduated from Wendell Phillips High School in 2017, where he was one of the captains of the 2015 State Championship Football Team. Malcolm received numerous academic honors, including Chicago Cubs Scholar, Chicago Scholar, George M. Pullman Foundation Scholar, and Illinois State Scholar. Malcolm went on to attend Wesleyan University before transferring after freshman year. In 2021, Malcolm earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Howard University’s School of Business. While in college, Malcolm played football, held several leadership positions, and became a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
During his sophomore year of college, Malcolm co-founded Gratitude Chicago, a clothing brand that promotes the importance of gratitude through fashion and its platform. The brand raised nearly $20,000 for Phillips’ STEM Department, awarded $25,000 in scholarships, and hosts an annual Turkey Drive at the school.
After graduating college, Malcolm joined McDonald’s Corporation, where he has held various roles with the company and currently works on the Global Supply Chain Team. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Malcolm is a dedicated brother, friend, mentor, and community advocate. He is honored to be the youngest inductee ever into the Wendell Phillips High School’s Hall of Fame, crediting God, his family, and his community for his success.
